COVID-19: BMC Issues Show-Cause to Pvt Hospital for Violating Govt Prescribed Fee Structure for Patients
Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken strict action against a private hospital for not following the government prescribed fee structure for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
A show-cause has been issued to Sunshine Hospital for not adhering to the Government prescribed fee structure for COVID patient treatment, the BMC said.
Notably, the Odisha Government has warned of action if any private hospital is found collecting exorbitant fees from patients.
The hospital shall charge reasonable fees from patient and refrain from collecting exorbitant fees, failing which action as deemed fit will be taken against the hospital, the Healt Department said earlier.
