SSC paper leak: Bihar Police arrests mastermind within 24 hours after registering case
The Bihar police on Saturday arrested a mastermind reportedly behind the SSC paper leak within 24 hours after registering the case.
The police have made the arrest under the relevant sections of the law. Further investigation into the matter is underway. The police have also arrested the person to whom the photo of the paper was sent.
Earlier in June this year, the special investigation team (SIT) of the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) had arrested the principal of Gaya's Ram Sharan Singh Evening College for his alleged involvement in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) paper leak case.
The accused principal, Shakti Kumar, also ran a school and was politically well-connected.
Kumar was the organisation secretary of Upendra Kushwaha's party, Rashtriya Lok Samta Party, which later merged with the Janata Dal United. It was one of the biggest arrests in the 67th BPSC paper leak case.
