UK national of Indian origin arrested for supplying drugs to medical students in Mangaluru
The Central Crime Branch arrested a UK national of Indian origin for supplying drugs to medical students in Mangaluru.
The accused has been identified as Neil Kishorilal Ramji Shah, a UK national of Indian origin pursuing his medical education in Mangaluru.
According to police, Neil had been staying in Mangaluru for the past 15 years and was unable to complete his education. During investigation, Neil revealed that he supplied drugs to medical students.
Police arrested Neil on January 8 and seized 2kg of marijuana, mobile, cash and a toy pistol from his possession. Based on his interrogation, police conducted searches at PGs, hostels and rented houses and apprehended nine people for consuming drugs.
Out of the nine arrested, two are doctors, 2 BDS students, four MBBS students and one a student of physiotherapy.
