Avatar: The Way of Water has been setting the box office on fire ever since it hit the theatres. The film is now marching towards $1 billion worldwide.

In India, the film's total collection now stands at around Rs 300 crore in just 10 days. Avatar: The Way of Water is eyeing Rs 500 crore in the country in the coming days. It is to be seen if the film will reach the $2 billion-mark that director James Cameron had quoted. He said that the film would make profits when it reaches $2 billion.

Going by the trade reports, Avatar: The Way of Water seems to have had an eventful second Sunday. While the film managed to collect Rs 21 crore in India on Saturday (December 24), it managed to see an incline on Sunday. Avatar earned Rs 24-26 crore on Sunday, December 25. The total collection now stands at Rs 300 crore in the country.

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Avatar: The way of Water crossed $850 million so far. His tweet read, "#AvatarTheWayOfWater crosses $600 Million Internationally and $250 Million at the North America Box office, $850 Million Total.. (sic)." This amounts to nearly Rs 7,000 crore in rupees.
